The year was 1975.
Jaws opened in the theater, Saturday Night Live debuted on millions of television sets across America; and on the business front, Motorola obtained the first patent for a portable mobile phone.
A relatively unknown entrepreneur, Bill Gates developed a BASIC program for the first personal computer by USA Microsoft.
1975 was also the year that Lindstrom Air Conditioning and Plumbing was born.
Perhaps it was the enterprising spirit of the time that motivated a local kid from Ft. Lauderdale, Carl Lindstrom, to put an old station wagon, a few tools and a desire to serve to good use… We’d like to think so.
One thing, we know for certain, is that Carl founded Lindstrom Air Conditioning and Plumbing on the principle of being of service to our family, friends and neighbors and being there when you need us… every time.
You see, in 1975, trust wasn’t considered just a word, it was a contract, and a handshake and customer satisfaction wasn’t just an afterthought.
You looked your customer in the eye when you shook his or her hand. That was the only way Carl “Pops” Lindstrom did business.
Sure, we’ve faced our growing pains and challenges over the years. Since he passed in 2010, we often wonder if Carl knew what we’d face along the way. But the principles he laid down have helped us navigate a new age in home services.
Perhaps that is why Carl took great pains to make sure that we put our customers first and that you were always satisfied with our work. It’s no small feat to maintain a 100% customer satisfaction guarantee, but it’s our guiding principle.
We’re proud to have grown into one of the largest and most trusted family-owned and operated service companies in South Florida. We are proud to celebrate our 40th Anniversary of service to the Ft. Lauderdale and Palm Beach area.
We would also like to honor Carl’s legacy of service as we celebrate our 40 years here.
