Our 19-Point Air Conditioning Tune-Up

Air conditioners get LOTS of use every year in South Florida, and when it gets hot, we really need them to be at their peak efficiency! That's why it's important to ensure your air conditioner is well maintained.

Because it's such an intricate system with many moving parts, there’s always something that could go wrong. If your air conditioner has not been regularly serviced, you may find that it fails to cool your home or is unable to maintain a comfortable temperature.

Even if your AC system seems to be working properly, it may not be running as efficiently as possible, costing you money.

When you hire us, you can expect thorough work that includes:

  • Efficiency and Reliability Checkup
We inspect all system components to ensure AC reliability in addition to verifying the duct system is not wasting air. When there are leaks and other inefficiency problems, your system works harder to keep hot air out, using more energy and costing you money.
  • Equipment Evaluation and Cleaning
Our Trust Certified® technicians check your air filter, coolant levels, condenser coils, drains, and evaporator in addition to looking for smaller, less obvious problems that could surface in the future.
  • How-To Info and Maintenance Plans
We show you how to use the correct air filter for your system and cooling needs. Additionally, our maintenance plans are ideal for keeping your AC system in tip-top shape, and only take a few minutes to purchase online.

Our 19-point tune-up can prolong the life of your air conditioning system, help you avoid costly repairs, and enable you to enjoy greater peace of mind.

Why AC Tune Ups Are Important

AC tune-ups help equipment run at or near original factory specifications, depending on age and overall condition. When cooling equipment runs efficiently, it doesn’t have to work as hard to do its job, which will save you money and increase the equipment’s lifespan.

HVAC System Maintenance can provide even bigger savings for homeowners. Often, our technicians find small problems that can be fixed quickly and inexpensively during an HVAC System Maintenance visit. If neglected, these same issues can worsen over time, causing quite a dent in your wallet and eventually resulting in costly repair services.

For example, if a refrigerant leak is noticed early, it can easily be repaired at an affordable cost. However, if the leak goes undetected, it can drain the refrigerant and burn up the compressor. At first, a failing compressor will run inefficiently, raising your electric bills by hundreds of dollars. Once your compressor stops working altogether, it can cost $1,000 or more to replace.

Our Lindstrom Tune-Up Includes:

  • Replacement of filter provided by customer while on site at time of inspection
  • Visually inspect and test capacitors for leakage and rust
  • Inspect accessible areas for possible oil leaks
  • Complete operations sequence check
  • Check crank case heater for proper operation
  • Inspection of air filtration system
  • Inspect blower wheel
  • Inspect blower motor and record amp draw (lubricate as needed)
  • Inspect unit wiring and electrical disconnect
  • Check and calibrate thermostat as required
  • Tighten screw lug terminals in condensing unit
  • Inspect contactor for pits and burns
  • Check and record amp draw of condenser motor and compressor
  • Inspect fan blades for cracks or defects
  • Check condenser motor bearings/lubricate non sealed condenser motor bearings
  • Inspect condensate drain pans & drains for proper operation
  • Check and record operating pressures and temperatures
  • Inspect and clean outdoor unit (does not include detergent) if the water hose for the A/C unit is accessible)
  • Check refrigerant levels
  • Inspect cooling system for unusual vibration or loose parts
  • Inspect and flush condensate lines & check condensate pump operation
  • Check for adequate airflow
  • Lubricate furnace/ boiler blower or air handler if needed
  • Check overall operation of system
