In 2021, it’s estimated that 43,600 women and 530 men will die of breast cancer, according to the American Cancer Society. This startling statistic is one of the many reasons Lindstrom Air Conditioning & Plumbing continues to support the fight for breast cancer awareness.
We’re proud to be a sponsor of the upcoming More Than Pink Walk hosted by the Susan G. Komen Foundation on Oct. 16, 2021. For years, our company has made it our mission to support this community of cancer fighters. It’s why we choose to participate in the annual event and donate with the help of our customers.
“Cancer touches everybody in some way, and we’re no exception here at Lindstrom,” says Jeff Lindstrom, president. “We’ve lost family, friends, and loved ones to this dreaded disease. We feel it’s important now, more than ever, to show our support for all who are affected by cancer.”
During October, we will donate a portion of each service call to Susan G. Komen® Miami/Fort Lauderdale. A service call is made when a customer is experiencing a problem and needs help from Lindstrom to examine, diagnose and repair the issue.
How can you help spread awareness?
Join us at Bayfront Park in Miami, Florida, on Oct. 16 to participate in the More Than Pink Walk. You may also choose to participate online, where you can engage with the Facebook community, share stories, and raise money to help save lives.
When you raise money or donate during the More Than Pink Walk, funding goes toward research, patient care, community building, and advocacy on a state and federal level.
